LTSD Little League Connection

Mr. Weaver, our 8th grade Social Studies Teacher, has been very busy during the past two weeks. He serves as a volunteer team host, and is sometimes referred to as an “Uncle” at the Little League World Series. He has accepted the role and responsibilities for the past 12 years.
His major responsibility is assisting with all arrangements for the teams, specifically the distribution of uniforms and ensuring that they arrive at the equipment distribution center on time. He also helps coordinate ESPN obligations, meals, and other activities. In addition, he
also attends their practices and games.
"It is a real thrill to be the Williamsport contact to these talented kids from all over the world," offered Mr. Weaver.

New Student/6th Grade Orientation

Dear Parent/Guardian(s):

It is time once again to begin preparing for another school year. In just a few short weeks we will be welcoming another group of students into the Loyalsock Township Middle School community of learners. In order to ensure a smooth transition, we are inviting students and parents to attend an orientation session at the school.

Orientation for sixth graders and new students is scheduled for Tuesday, August 24th, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Several faculty and staff members will be in attendance to discuss use of the agenda, classroom schedules, lockers, and other pertinent information. Following this session, we will conduct a tour of the building and also include time for questions and answers. The program will conclude at approximately 2:30 p.m.

It is time to embark on a new journey! We anticipate an exciting, stimulating, and challenging school year. I look forward to meeting you and your child. Please call the school with any questions. Together, we can and do make a difference!
