Coach Dan Bower guided two wrestlers to place-finishes at the event. Winning third was Alex Vogel and placing 7th was Ryan Ritter. Manny Finnerty won his first two matches but lost to the eventual champion.
Also on the wrestling team for the 2011-12 season were: Trevor Eubanks, Braden Gubdrum, Jalil Harris, Grant Harrison, Ares Henriquez, Crae McCracken, Nathan Neupauer and Dylan Stetts. Despite having difficulty filling all the slots on the team. the Lancer grapplers made several fine showings and look forward to a bright season next year, as several sixth graders will be moving up to the junior high/middle school ranks.
